What is the Society?

The Haslemere Art Society, established in 1894, has a rich legacy in the Haslemere community. (Read more about its history here) It encompasses both professional and amateur artists, aiming to foster collaboration and support through various events and groups.

The Society hosts talks and demonstrations led by professional artists, with these events being free for members and open to non-members as well. Additionally, members can participate in a monthly café sketching group, a summer en plein air group, and a Tuesday afternoon group at the Haslemere Educational Museum.

Each Autumn, the Society's Annual Exhibition provides a platform for members to showcase and sell their latest works. This event, held at the Haslemere Educational Museum, features a diverse range of art forms, including painting, drawing, ceramics, and sculpture, as well as prints and cards.

New members are always welcome. If you’re interested in joining or exhibiting at our Annual Exhibition, please reach out for more information.
